When the most attractive streaker in U.S. soccer history left the field at Raymond James Stadium dressed in bra, panties and American flag, there were plenty of questions going through the minds of U.S. fans watching the USA-Honduras game last week. Is she drunk? Is she single? Is she a Mons Venus marketing ploy?

So many questions were out there that I couldn’t help but want to interview Tiffany May, so when SF at The Offside Rules found her MySpace page I was ready for the interview request. Two things stopped me. The fact that I couldn’t even remember my MySpace password (yes, it’s been a while) AND the fact that it all felt a bit stalker-ish (no offense there Christian Miles).

Thanks to the like-minded folks at Hillcrest Road, the Kansas City Wizards team blog, an interview with Miss May is now available. Hillcrest Road spoke to Tiffany, asking her all some of the questions going through our minds.

Here is the interview. Enjoy. (And for those of you wondering, the winners of the You Write the Caption contest for the above photo will post on Monday.)

  1. The qualifying match vs. Honduras was my first ever “real” soccer match. I thought it was great just being there. Then, by a stroke of luck, I got Freddy Adu’s autograph before the game. I was ecstatic. Then, when the girl sitting next to me decided that she was going to streak in the second half, I was beside myself. She and her friends were hilarious, and were really doing a great job of supporting, even giving the Honduran fans in our section a run for their money. Honestly, nobody in our section was watching the action on the pitch, we were all watching her get into place. Even this female coach a few rows back, who was with a bunch of teenage players was laughing hysterically. Most of her friends didn’t think she’d go through with it, and when she got corralled by security, they took off. The whole ordeal took about 20 minutes from her getting in position, getting rid of her clothes, and finally running out on the pitch. The funniest bit was that a security guard walked right by her & down the stairs about a minute before she jumped. Needless to say, the bar was set high for all following soccer matches…

  2. What is really hilarious is that this will be included as one of the top 10 moments in US Soccer for 2008 come the end of the year. That’s how far soccer has come in this country.

  3. reminds me of my trip to Azteca for the USA/MEX game…there was a girl in the stands wearing a star-spangled bikini top that ended up on the front or back page of every paper in Mexico….it was some sight 🙂

  4. Not much of a streak. Apart from the clothes, she didn’t run away from security and try to avoid capture. It was over almost as soon as it started. You’re supposed to run the whole field with multiple security personnel after you, making them dive and miss a few times before they catch you! I’m just saying.

  5. Also, if she was actually fully naked, what’s the likelihood that she would have been shown on TV? I’m thinking little or none.

  6. Why do people keep asking why she didn’t go naked? She did get arrested and it would probably would have been much worse if she did.
