This weekend’s Soccer on TV

That sound you hear is Manchester United beginning to run away with the English Premier League.

Yes, they are only two points ahead of Chelsea and Liverpool, but the Red Devils could widen the gap as the Blues and Reds square off in a battle to stay in the title race.

Chelsea-Liverpool is the marquee match-up in a very good weekend of soccer action. From the latest Boca Juniors-River Plate encounter, to Tim Howard's Everton facing his old club Manchester United, there is plenty to choose from for the soccer fan with some time to enjoy some matches.

Here is this weekend's schedule of matches on TV:

  2. i will watch the SuperBowl–Boca-River sounds interesting but it is only the torneo de verano which is nothing more than the argentine preseason. I will watch Boca-River when it happens when it really counts–Torneo Clausura.
The Argentine Clausura begins the week of Feb 8th.

  6. The La Liga games are so uninteresting it is as if they counter-scheduled against the Super Bowl, knowing we Americans wouldn’t care to watch a Numancia or Almeria.
