Attention U.S. national team fans: tickets for the USA-Mexico World Cup qualifier in Columbus on Wednesday, Feb. 11 go on sale on Wednesday, Jan. 28.

Those of you who have yet to buy tickets (and many die-hard fans already have secured ticket orders) can go to Ticketmaster on Jan. 28 and book your seats in what is expected to be a sell-out.

Visa cardholders will be eligible for an advanced pre-sale being held on Tuesday, Jan. 27.

The match, the first World Cup qualifier of the Hexagonal Round for both teams, is being shown on ESPN2 at 7pm.

Did you book your tickets yet?

  4. No USSoccerFans.com presale? This was a good opportunity for supporters who want to remain independent of the groups. Oh well, now a VISA will be of primary use I spose…

  5. Continental is the biggest rip off and I will not be attending for that reason. I tried booking a flight a month ago from Houston direct to Continental and flights are $936 to leave Wed. morning and comeback Thurs morning.

    EF CONTINENTAL!

This game is going to be awesome. I was there for the friendly last year in Houston and had the best time of my life.

  6. No way this game would be on ESPN on a Wednesday night during the heart of college basketball season.

Look at it this way ESPN2 is an upgrade from the 2005 game which was on ESPN Classic.

  7. Plenty of places to party before and after the game in Cbus. The American Outlaws are having a get together the night before at Ruby Tuesdays (not the chain) which is right by the stadium. Also, Fado Irish pub at the Easton Town Center is a great soccer bar! Can’t wait for this one! I got friends flying in from DC and NYC for the match! Dos a Cero!!!

  10. pre-ooooordeeeer braaah! totally all ready have my tickets through diligently checking every major soccer site for the last few weeks. I will be flying in from maryland and partying with my brethren. Does anyone know anything about Columbus i.e. bars, good restaurants. I know Ohio State University is close by, so there has to be some good watering holes.

  11. What is the deal with waiting until 2 weeks before the match to start selling tickets to the public? Tickets for the Confederations Cup IN JUNE are already available for sale. I don’t get it. US Soccer are a bunch of idiots.

How are people already able to scoop up tickets? (other than paying $300 per ticket on StubHub)
