What do you think of these performances? Think Onyewu is ready for the likes of Kaka and Robinho? Do you see Edu helping Rangers to another league title next season? Is Clarence Goodson deserving of a call-up in the Gold Cup?

  1. Sonny Guadarrama played both legs helping Merida win the Primera A title over Tijuana… He was born in Austin, TX, very good, and young, midfielder.

  2. Dempsey…went from being “not up for it at this level” according to many of the Fulham fans in 2007-2008 as they staved off relegation twice thanks in part to Duece to now saying…”he is one of our 3 best players” and we are “going on a European tour next season”… WAY TO GO DEMPSEY!!!

  3. How about Sonny Guadarrama playing for Merida who won the Primera A championship, and has a chance to be promoted to Mexico’s first division. I saw the first leg and he played with a lot of creativity in the midfield.

  5. With Spector starting again, I don’t see how Bradley doesn’t put him on the field. He is ahead of Pearce in my book on the depth chart.

  7. let’s see who the new manager at sunderland is before anything happens with spector. i’d much rather see him with rangers.

There talking about Zak Whitbread, not Spector. Spector still plays for West Ham, Zak has most likely played his last game for Millwall and looking to move.

  10. Bradley should play Spector at right back to give him experience against Concacaf. We know what Hedjuk can do and Spector is in form. Longer term, Spector is our best prospect at right back. I hope Bradley gives him the shot that he has given other younger players including his son.

  11. Barring an injury Goodson is a lock to be on the Gold Cup team. He was POY last season in Adecco League and now is the highest rated defender in the Tipp League where he has his team in second place. He’s rated the #4,#7&#9 player league-wide by the three bigest media sources in Norway. Yeah he’ll be called in for GC and will likely transfer to a bigger club in August.

  12. hope this one happens for Zak. He and Mo Edu playing in the Champions league next season could be two crucial developments to watch in the build-up to next summers world cup.

  13. Yeahhhhhhhhh!!!

Gooch won another Belgian league. He’s a legend at Standard Liege. Part of Rangers recent emergence has been due to Edu, they have him to thank and look forward to see him starting for them in the CL.

  16. Karl your clueless. If you think sunderland are a better team than rangers…you should probably go to the doctors. I guarentee if Celtic or Rangers went to the Premier league…both with make atleast the Europa League, the home crowd of both teams is second to none, and really is the 12th man

  17. @Karl,

Quit drinking the Hateraid, a move to either of those clubs would be great for Whitbread and his future with the Nats (Wouldn’t you agree that Edu’s move to Ibrox has been had a positive impact on his development?)

  18. Now that Celtic have an American keeper a Yank will win the SPL every year.

Congrats to Gooch for winning the league title two years in a row. I think a good showing at the Confeds Cup could be huge for his career. His agent should not take any offers until after the tournament. Then he can do the cover his mouth and make phone calls like Tevez’s consortium agent did.
