If you missed the U.S. national team's historic 2-0 upset victory against Spain today (maybe your TIVO didn't work or you forgot (doubt it)) you are in luck. The game is being shown again tonight on ESPN2 at 11pm.

If you didn't record it or watch it the first time, get your recorder ready because you may want to keep this little bit of history, and a thoroughly exciting and unforgettable match to boot.

If you did see the match today, feel free to share your own experiences from today. Were you at a packed bar? An office cubicle? At home with friends? At your house with your friend from Spain who thought you had no chance? Were you actually in Spain and cheering all by yourself?

Where did you watch today's amazing match? Share your experience below.

  1. On vacation, I DVR the game at the Inlaws…after taking my son fishing today, (no luck there) I hoped it was not an omen….what a game, deserved..but Spain is SCARY…when I saw Boca at the LB I said, that is the back line I’ve been hoping for. Spector is so calm on the ball. Good and Demerrit absolutely nothing got by them in the air.

LD is a stud and I’d be surprised if he doesn’t get some sniffs…Dempsey’s best game, even better than Egypt. Was studly out there.

I’ pumped and now I have to figure out how to sleep after such an exhilirating game. The only thing is I watched alone as none of my familyin laws cared to view with me….

  2. A University of Wisconsin campus apartment with a handful of other guys, ranging from casual supporter to diehard. The place was rocking for each goal, foul, and scoring opportunity and I think one of the guys ran outside and yelled after the final whistle.

  3. Watched the game at O’brien’s in San Diego. The whole place erupted when Josy scored. Lost my voice. The lads played with heart. What a day for our team.

It will be interesting how we go after Brazil. Can we play with one D Mid?

  4. I watched it live, 3.30am – 5.30am in my apartment in Seoul .

My downstairs neighbors probably thought a bomb had gone off from the way I was jumping around after the second goal !

I’m amazed that I didn’t throw my shoulder out of joint …

Now I’m exhausted and can’t sleep. Today has been incredible !

  5. Me and the dog watched it at home with the volume way up, everyone else was out. I’m sure my dog thinks I’m insane, but it was great. I didn’t even notice the sound of those vuvuzelas, or whatever the hell they are.

  6. Just in a room, at Ohio State, with a bunch of USA soccer fans. I’ve never screamed like that in a room full of agreeing fans like that. It was beautiful in every way.

  7. I was in my office (ESPN360) and had to leave in the 75th minute to go arraign some bad guys. After looking at some scumbags in the jail for an hour I came back, pushed play and watched the final 15+. I was useless the rest of the day. The emotion was amazing.

  8. I got off work in the 50th minute and ran to the nearest bar. I was the only one there and the bartender was kind enough to switch off of her Springer to let me watch. Later, another bartender came in with her two young children who I scared the sh** out of when Dempsey scored. By the end of the game, a few patrons had arrived and I was happy to inform them of the monumental victory. I love watching with true soccer fans, but it’s also great to spread the passion at neighborhood joints.

  9. Hokie, I’m completely with you, but I would say the chances of it being overturned are less than zero. Still, I hope U.S. Soccer at least raises the issue, and brings up USA-Italy back in 2006 when they do.

  11. I know that this is like opening Pandora’s box as stated by Blatter (I think) when Man U tried to get Fletcher’s red card overturned for the Champ League finals, but I am going to ask anyway. Is there any way we get Bradley’s red overturned? That card was ridiculous. I don’t care if his intent was malicious. He got pretty much all ball. That’s the only way I could see red coming out if they looked at intent, but that shouldn’t matter when you pretty much win the ball. I thought it was a borderline foul. Maybe my skipping work and drinking all day had some role there, but I couldn’t believe it was a straight red. Did anyone else see it like that?

  12. Watched my Slingbox feed at the office. No work done from the time the match started till now. Watching again here at home. I want to see the Bradley red card again.

Adam the Red: We’ve found a lineup that can win big games and you want to put 2 infants into the team for the championship game. How incredibly stupid you must be!

  13. I got meetings rescheduled so I could head down to Penny Lane (Richmond VA) to watch the match. It was great to celebrate and high-five fellow American fans when Jozy and Dempsey scored!

  14. I watched the game at work, the National Soccer Hall of Fame, with the coworkers. How fitting is it that I watched a historic game in a place that is filled with US soccer history? Very surreal feeling. I’m still pinching myself.

  16. I watched the match at W.J. Morrissey’s in Buffalo, NY and I was the only person in the whole bloody room. I had to explain to them there was a soccer game on the television and that I very much hoped to watch it. I still haven’t found a place to watch soccer in this awful city and if anyone can point me in the right direction I’ll be much obliged.

  17. Saw it earlier. Gonna watch it again tonight. You really can’t get too much of this sort of stuff. If you’re a USA soccer fan, it’s historical.

  21. I was in the freakin’ car!

(I was invited to be a guest speaker at a major game convention in Columbus, OH and had to hit the road this week to get there)

What’s funny, tho, is that I pulled up my Slingbox on my cell phone to make sure it was recording when we stopped for a sec in Charleston, SC. I turned it on just in time to see Jozy’s goal. Perfect.

After that, I was checking the the ESPNSoccernet webcast on the mobile version of the browser, and when it hit 2-0 I called the office to tell people back there to find a live feed of it online somewhere, anywhere.

Y’know what *REALLY* sucks? Guess when I have to drive home. Yep. Sunday. Ugh.

  23. Watched @ home w/ my kids (3 yrs and 21 mos) – and got a few “Daddy, you scared me’s” after shouting at the TV (not the first time I’ve heard that). Wish I was somewhere w/ a crowd…and beer…there’s always Sunday.

  24. I was at work, deep in the recesses of the old courthouse, skipping from one illegal feed to the next and following along with this lot. I really wish I could have been in a good bar with some more soccer fans instead of just looking mentally disturbed in my office.

  26. Peeped on a shady internet feed. What a massive result. Where to rank this one in Team USA history? Jozy’s goal was world-class. Fulham would be perfect for the lad.

  27. Watched the game and dvr’d it to watch again. Great game to watch. I can not stand to listen to John Harkes, though. According to him we barely did anything right. He hates Clint Dempsey and seems to have a little bit of a man-crush on Landon.

  28. I was watching in my basement with my two year old daughter and I scared her when Jozy scored. I screamed at the top of my lungs. And she said “daddy, you scared me.” I said that is because our team just scored a goal. She said ” goaalllllll”

Props to Onyewu and the whole squad. Even Clark, who I’ve been down on was impressive. I watched the game twice already.

  29. I only had 2 hrs of sleep last nite (long story). Snuck out to watch the game at Britannia Arms in Cupertino, CA. Not a big crowd, but everyone was cheering for the US. Anyway, after 2 beers (and lack of sleep) I was unproductive for the rest of the day :)! Go USA!

  30. Was at an Irish pub in midtown Manhattan. Same crowded place I watch weekday Champions League matches, but today it was nearly empty. Too bad there weren’t more Americans to hug/high-five/fist-bump. What an unbelievable result!

Missed the live game, can’t wait to watch in an hour. Unbelievable.

Gulp. That’s the sound of my own words going back down. They taste wonderful, oddly.

Proud of the team for stepping up.

  33. On Futbol Picante on ESPN Deportes the commentators are going on and on about the “discipline” and heart of the Americans and even go as far as saying that Mexico could learn alot from them.

  34. I live in New Jersey. I had to work today. I taped the match and watched it as soon as I got home from work. I made sure that no one told me anything about the match beforehand and I stayed away from TVs and radios all day. What an amazing surprise! My wife knew the outcome and I was very tempted to ask her at about 70 minutes into the match, but, like the USMNT, I stayed strong to the end.

  37. Watched on 360….Wonderful game. I think it;s becoming clearer that this team has the skill to win big games when they play with heart and desire. I have already watxhed it again on my tv. Looking back again, Gooch was am absolute beast and Donovan has finally won me over this tourney. Bring on Brazil. Think Benny should slide in for MB and other same 10.
