Some two weeks after being released from a Washington D.C. hospital where he spent a month recovering from a deadly car accident, U.S. national team forward Charlie Davies has moved his rehabilitating to Delaware, where doctors have labeled his progress "fantastic".

According to the FC Sochaux's club website, Davies is making progress on the numerous injuries he suffered in a deadly car accident that took the life of one passenger on Oct. 13. Davies is rehabbing under the supervision of U.S. Soccer's head rehabilitation trainer Jim Hashimoto.

Davies isn't the only U.S. national team player rehabilitating in Delaware. Oguchi Onyewu is with Davies, rehabbing the torn patella tendon he suffered in the U.S. team's final World Cup qualifier against Costa Rica on Oct. 14.

How happy are you to hear that Davies is progressing well? Starting to believe that Davies will return to the field sooner than expected? Looking forward to Onyewu's return to the U.S. team?

  1. Thats funny you say that… as a Mets fan, Jose Reyes was taking an approach similar to this with a minor injury and didn’t return the entire freakin season lol.

  2. We should ship him out to see that healer in Serbia who puts placenta on injuries to speed up recovery. I am not joking, ESPN had an article about PSV’s Lazovic who had a hamstring injury that was supposed to keep him out for 5 weeks then he saw this healer and after the treatment he was back a week later.
