  1. Champions League uses head to head as the first tie breaker

Liverpool lost and drew with Lyon, so Lyon has the tie-breaker over Liverpool. Liverpool is out.

Liverpool letting those two final minute goals against Lyon are the reason they are out.

  2. I’m confused as well. if Liverpool beat fiorentina by 4 goals would they have a GD of +3, Fio would be +1 and they would be tied on points. What am i missing? thanks for any assitance!

  3. How is ‘Pool out? Isn’t the first tiebreaker GD? If Lyon loses(not likely) and’pool wins then Lyon and Pool both finish with 10 points.

  4. Gallas and Arshavin collided in the 1st half, banged heads, both went off for treatment (Arshavin was bleeding) and Gallas came back on looking woozy and somewhat out of it. I’d guess that’s why he was replaced at the half.

  5. Oh, a final nail in Rangers coffin would be good too. The quality of football in the knockout rounds goes up if there are no Scottish teams there. Bad news for Edu if he ever recovers and Beas too…but it’s still worth it.

3 yellow cards by Rangers already….Braveheart football.
