  1. The Galaxy will win 3-0. Gotta love the little underdogs, always have, but not when they are playing my Galaxy.

Sunday, all my crap talk and bold predictions will be manifested in the LA dominance…

    Star #3 only 85 hours away…

  2. AJ was brilliant last week versus Houston… In my humble opinion the man of the match. Of course I was drinking heavily in section 136 so maybe I missed something there!

  4. I hate to root for the Galaxy but I going to have to do it. The only reason is because if they win it could potential add more fuel to Donovan’s impending departure to Europe. Obviously he has titles with SJ and LA but it’s really irked him that the club has been in a long playoff drought until this season. A Championship would be the perfect send off to Europe. The chances are likely he leaves anyway but if you throw in a Championship, I bet the odds increase.

  5. RSL has a very good chance. Here’s why: both Will Johnson and Beckerman can cover an amazing amount of ground during a game and are good defenders. Johnson also has good speed. Johnson, with Beckerman’s help, will be able to cover Donovan. RSL’s back line is underrated. Borchers is strong central defender and Olave and Beltran have good speed to deal with Buddle if he’s even playing.

If Morales and Williams have good games and can control the ball, RSL can control the midfield like they did much of the games against Chicago and Columbus. If this happens there will be chances for Espindola, Findley and/or Movsysien, if they can finish those chances. All 3 have enough speed to cause problems for the LA back line.

  6. If the Galaxy go with Franklin and AJ at the outside fullbacks, they help neutralize RSL’s speed advantage somewhat. It will be interesting to see if Arena goes back to Dunivant now that he’s healthy.

  7. Bruce Arena’s tactics are meant to win 1 game playoff games like this. LA Galaxy 2-1. Findley scores as redemption for being traded away but Landon knocks home the GWG to win his millionth award this season.

  8. LA GALAXY!

It will be a fun match. RSL, in my mind, had been the most underperforming club all season and are just now peeking at the right time. I will be curious to see how they use the SPEED card. If they do it right, they will be causing the LA defense fits all match and keeping the ball away from the feet of Landon and David. So many great tangibles in this match, fun one v one match-ups, quality goalkeeping, neither team looking to “kill” the match.

  9. Clear edge for the Galaxy. However, as so often is the case in a one game showdown, anything can happen. Excited to see it on a projector screen!
