Benny Feilhaber completed his recovery from the ankle injury that sidelined him nearly six weeks by coming off the bench in AGF Aarhus' 4-0 victory against Esbjerg on Wednesday.

Feilhaber made a 20-minute cameo for Aarhus and his appearance marked the first time he's played for the club since December.

The new of Feilhaber's recovery is just the latest bit of good news for the U.S. national team, which had recently been struck by a plague of injuries.

It wasn't all good news on Wednesday, though.

Aalborg BK forward Marcus Tracy was ruled out for the season with tendinitis in his knee. Tracy is traveling to the United States to undergo a new procedure that will help him with his recovery.

Tracy picked up the injury prior the U.S. men's national team camp in January. He scored one goal in eight appearances for Aalborg this season.

What do you think of Feilhaber making his return? Surprised Tracy's tendinitis has lingered this long?

  1. Happy that Benny’s Back and playing. I feel Bad for Tracy and wish him the best in his recovery. Like most others posting above it appears as if the USMNT is finally healing up, but as stated above would be great to get a full update on those still in recovery, where they are and what their target full return to club is…

    1) Davies

    2) Gooch

    3) Holden

    4) J. Jones

  3. Great shot of Benny to go along with getting minutes at Aarhus. Hope Tracy heals up soon, though I’m guessing he wasn’t near the plane to SA anyway unless he suddenly got H. Gomez H-O-T with scoring.

  4. Gooch is next line for the come back, followed by Holden, then Davies. Hopefully JJ gets in there somewhere.

Poor news for Tracy – he’s had it rough over there. Love me some Benny so looking forward to seeing him firing on all cylinders!!

  5. If Edu and Feilhaber can stay healthy and can get quality minutes leading up to June, it will help our midfield tremendously. Jones and, maybe more importantly, Holden are then ones to look at now in completing the midfield picture.

  6. feilhaber makes the 23 man roster if healthy…good news. Now i want to see Gooch get his stuff going with ACM. JJ to me at this point will just be an extra credit bonus

  7. Yeah a JJ update would be cool. At this point I’d be happy if he was able to help us out for GC2011 to get us into the Confed Cup.
