There were some strong team performances in MLS Week 4, from the Los Angeles Galaxy's victory against a tough Real Salt Lake, and the Houston Dynamo's dismantling of a weak Chivas USA team, but SBI's pick for MLS Team of the Week goes to the San Jose Earthquakes for their impressive 2-0 victory against the New England Revolution.
The Revs came into Buck Shaw Stadium on a two-match winning streak, having just smoked Toronto FC by a 4-1 scoreline. On Saturday, New England's attack couldn't deal with the Earthquakes defense, while San Jose's midfield dominated play (albeit against a Revs team missing Shalrie Joseph).
Here are the highlights from San Jose's 2-0 win vs. New England:
Who was your pick for this week's MLS Team of the Week? Agree with our pick? Did you prefer the Galaxy or Dynamo?

DC should be team of the week. The joy they’ve brought RBNY supporters thus far this season is beyond words.
Each week we eagerly await the follies of young father Santino Quaranta, the aging Jamie Moreno & the rest of the DC gang.
St Loo- here we come!!!!
That’s no highschool field. It’s a college field!
High school stadium, maybe. Field, absolutely not.
Go Quakes!
Buck Shaw has one of the nicest grass fields in the league, and at 72X110 is not high school sized.
might have gone differently had they not played on a high school field, too
Just wait til Brad Ring starts playing… dude is a baller
Can’t help but think as a Revs fan that this might’ve gone differently with Shalrie running the show in the middle. But full credit to the Quakes, they played well and got the job done.
If Opara keeps progressing at a rate similar to Omar in LA…a future USMNT pairing of Opara and Gonzo could be amazing to watch
opara covers the whole field and gonzo wins every header, how could anyone score on us…
Go Quakes. SBI showing some love this week with a 7th spot in the power rankings and now team of the week. Hmmm hopefully this doesn’t curse my Quakes. I’m just happy they are playing well thus far. They still need a few pieces to play with the big boys though.
I guess you can’t pick LA every week.
