  1. With the quotation marks, are you implying that the EPL is not the premier league in England? You realize the name isn’t referring to it being the premier league on the world, right?

  2. “Chunky” Aguero is more than welcome to leave to a team of a lesser league, such as the overrated Chelsea with its loathsome ex-skipper in the so-called “Premier” League of England. Personally, the Italian Serie A is more in tune to his style of play, and definitly the only other league that is an equal to La Liga. Adios gordito!

  3. I really hope Schweinsteiger doesn’t go to Spain, I’d love to see him in the premier league, or stay in Germany.

  4. How could Iker deserve the Golden Ball over Forlan? Maybe Iniesta or Xavi… but Forlan literally carried Uruguay aside form the South Korea game. Casillas made the stops he needed to, but it wasn’t like he single-handedly kept Spain alive.

I don’t know if anybody in EPL can afford to pry Suarez away. Some type of financial reckoning has to be coming here sooner or later

  5. Polish First Division? I guess it could (conceivably) be worse. Were no MLS teams interested in him, or just not his asking price?

Either way, hope he can get it back on track!

  6. that’s a shame about szetela’s descent. i don’t know too much about him as a person, so i don’t know if he’s sabotaged his possible success with bad habits; but when big clubs are interested and now trying to catch on in gdansk? ouch.
