Long-time rivals Manchester United and Liverpool square off on Sunday to headline this weekend's soccer action.
United will be looking to erase the bad taste of last week's 3-3 tie vs. Everton, while Liverpool will look to improve on last week's disappointing showing against Birmingham.
Manchester United-Liverpool is just one of the quality match-ups on tap this week. In Europe, you have Bordeaux-Lyon, Atletico Madrid-Barcelona and Sampdoria-Napoli among the top matches to watch. In the Americans, the Flamengo-Fluminense rivalry and Toluca-Club America tilts will be worth watching.
MLS has its own good games to catch, including Columbus vs. Seattle and Real Salt Lake vs. the Chicago Fire.

What matches will you be watching? Do you print this schedule out and keep it by your television? How many matches will you see this weekend?

avram grant won’t be there long at this rate. I don’t know how he is coaching in england at all, much less with his 3rd club. How did he end up at Chelsea but Bob Bradley or any American can’t get consideration for even Aston Villa or Fulham?
Dempsey starting and EJ on bench for Fulham today
I wish the Man U – Liverpool match was on the Fox Soccer Channel or Fox Sports en Espanol.. I can’t get my provider to offer Fox Soccer Plus….
I would agree with you on Spector but not on Jacobsen. 95% of the time he passes back. He doesn’t go forward at all. His passes in the 5% of the time he doesn’t go back seem to usually find Stoke players and he has been consistently beaten. However, he has made one good save.
I think the club wants him out, I don’t think he is injured.
Haha that karma…. is looking real good
Avram Grant…..
Kenwyne Jones is look real good, represent Concacaf (T&T)
I don’t think were gonna see Spector feature for West Ham any time soon.
Adam Grant’s brought in a lot of options in the back and and today Jacobsen doesn’t look bad at all on the right side.
rob green in clueless
why has the last 2 Liverpool games been on a sunday? why cant Man U or asenal play on sundays? seems arsenal always play saturdays
The right back for West Ham (Jacobsen) does not seem to be an improvement on either Spector or Flaubert. West Ham looks pretty bad.
Spector didn’t make the bench last week and I don’t think that he played in the reserve game this week so he may be injured – not that he would make the bench based on his recent performance but he should have played in the reserve game.
Spector didn’t even make the bench….
My Directv guide has the Fulham/Blackburn game on FSC HD at 2pm pst. And the Bolton / Villa game on FSC plus at 3pm pst.. but not on the HD channel..
(SBI-Those are correct. I missed those when putting the schedule together because those weren’t listed as live matches, but as replays. They’re included on this schedule now.)
bummer dude…. fulham isn’t listed for TV.
fulham/blackburn? bolton/villa?
So another poster got bitten by the revise without telling anyone bug?
I don’t really trust ESPN2 to actually broadcast Atlético-Barcelona either, meaning I’ll have once again DVRed log rolling or some such when I could have enjoyed Toluca beating América.
ESPN does show it in their listing grid, though.
I hate those early fsp games on Sunday. Thats 530 am west coast time so bars won’t be open. I would get the stupid channel too but my cable company doesn’t offer it. No way I am getting up to steam the game either.
fulham/blackburn? bolton/villa?
Ives took off the Real Madrid game. It was posted earlier.
lame lame lame lame
Man U and Liverpool on FS Plus…lame
Yeah, these lists are normally accurate.
St Pauli and HSV play at 9:30 est on GolTV
first game yawn and spector is awful. 2nd game wow and oh my goodness.
I only count 2
Wow three games on ESPN(2) this weekend. Just my luck i’ll be out of town to miss them.
The LA Galaxy – DC United game is on Saturday, not today.
Glaring ommission:
Sunday, 10:30am: St. Pauli v Hamburg
Go Pauli!
