UEFA Champions League recap: Chelsea and Arsenal roll, Ajax ties AC Milan

It was a perfect day for London clubs in Champions League play on Tuesday as Chelsea and Arsenal both posted victories to take control of their respective groups.

Chelsea cruised to a comfortable 2-0 victory against French champion Marseille at Stamford Bridge, while Arsenal overcame a myriad of injuries to post a 3-1 victory on the road against Partizan Belgrade.

The match of the day ended in a tie as Zlatan Ibrahimovic netted the equalizer to help AC Milan tie his former club, Ajax.

  1. I’ve been noticing that too about Maarten Stekelenburg. I used to think he was a so so goalie, but he has really stepped up his game. That started with the World Cup. I’m wondering if he wants a transfer.
