The month of September has been stellar for a number of top MLS players and picking the player of the month isn't easy.

Who has had the best September? Is it Chris Wondoloski, with his four goals? Is it Omar Cummings, with his own four goals? How about Dwayne "Write the Check" DeRosario? You also can't forget Landon Donovan or Blaise N'kufo.

The race is a strong one and tough one to call. Here is your chance to vote. Who gets your vote for MLS Player of the Month of September?

Cast your vote after the jump:

Who gets my vote? Dane Richards, Kei Kamara and Wondolowski all get consideration, but I'll give the nod to N'kufo for being key to Seattle's strong September.

Who did you vote for? Was your vote for someone not on our ballot?

  1. You’re kidding right? I chose him (based purely on my Rsl bias) but he was the key to our month. He played in nearly ever match and snuffed every attack. Probably the best defender in the league in the last month.

  2. How could you not include Nery Castillo on that list? He’s made a lot of people laugh & brought a lot of joy. POTM hands down.

Oh….you mean they actually have to play well???

  3. It may (or may not) be worth noting that Wizards fans seem to be lining up behind Michael Harrington as their POTM, rather than Kamara–he’s really staked his claim as starting fullback this season. Actually both of their fullback positions have solidified, with he and Espinoza.

  4. Agreed that Chris tracks back better, but Sigi asks Nkufo to stay high and Montero fills the roll that Wondolowski plays more than Nkufo.

  5. It’s really close between Wondo and N’Kufo both have 4 goals, but Wondo has played stellar defense all season, including and especially the past month, so it gives him a slight edge. Wondo had some goal saving tackles in his hat trick game vs TFC. He tracks back better than Blaise.

  6. would be voting For Kevin hartman or FC Dallas Defense but since this appears more offensive selections I am trying to decide between N’Kufo and Kamara. I think both have had a great month but I guess because N’Kufo has kept Seattle in the playoffs he is the one to go with.

  7. Blaise all the way! His goals won two very tough road games for the sounders and his hold up play helped make the sounders much better on the offensive end… Only other player who might merit consideration is Keller. His clean sheets and excellent saves have been helpful too!

  8. Gotta be N’Kufo. His four goals all came on the road, and kept the Sounders’ playoff position intact. I would say that Wondolowski is a close second.
