Americans Abroad: A Look Ahead

Maurice Edu is coming off a strong midweek performance in the Champions League, and he'll be looking to build on that as Rangers aims to stay atop the Scottish Premier League.

Having played 90 minutes in Rangers' 1-0 win against Bursaspor on Wednesday, Edu will hope to help Rangers win its seventh consecutive league match when the club faces Heart of Midlothian. Celtic is also perfet through six games, so a win for Rangers will likely be needed to avoid falling behind.

Herculez Gomez will attempt to build off his latest outing, a 13-minute performance in which he scored his first goal for Pachuca. Gomez, Jose Torres and Marco Vidal will square off against Atlante, which boasts Sonny Guadarrama on its roster.

No stranger to putting together a string of strong showings this season, Benny Feilhaber could continue his scoring streak when he and AGF Aarhus do battle with Naestved. Feilhaber has scored in his last three club matches.

  1. James Derbyshire on soccernet: “Now for me, Holden and Elmander have been our best two players so far this season and whilst they are full-time paid Bolton Wanderers players, it is far more important to invest game time in them to make sure we get the best return.”

    Holden’s the real deal.

  2. Benny is playing with a chip on his shoulder. He has something to prove after not moving in the transfer window. He is good enough to get back into the big European leagues.
