As 2010 nears an end, and the memories of the World Cup in South Africa grow more distant, international teams around the world are gathering together for one final run out this year. Forty-seven friendlies are on the schedule, including the U.S. national team's clash against South Africa (2pm, ESPN2).
Perhaps no other game has a higher profile than Brazil and Argentina, as the two sides meet in Doha, Qatar (12pm, ESPN2). Brazil's side is light on players from the failed World Cup campaign, and features the likes of Ronaldinho, Coutinho and Neymar. They'll go up against Argentine stars suchs as Lionel Messi, Angel Di Maria, Gonzalo Higuain and Diego Milito.
Two sets of European rivals will also clash, with England hosts France at Wembley. Fabio Capello is set to go with a very experimental lineup against Les Bleus. World Cup winner Spain travels to Lisbon to face Cristiano Ronaldo and Portugal, while Sweden takes on Germany.

Just record the shows that are listed during that time
This just in: MLS is announcing a rebranding of the entire league in an attempt increase international credibility. Starting next season, America’s top-tier soccer league will be called “La Estadounian Bundesliga Primero A-1.” Additionally, the old MLB-and-NBA-inspired logo will be replaced by Clipit, the Microsoft Office Assistant.
Argentina’s defense is very African-ish… hack and push.
Brazil-Argentina does not appear to be in HD despit being listed as such.
Does anyone know if the 2PM time for USA/SA is for kickoff, or just for coverage?
Uverse doesn’t have the US game listed on the guide even though ESPN shows it on their website. Frustrated that I can’t set the dvr.

Is it on TV? That’s the criteria above…
Is Peru opening that new stadium yet? I heard it was nice and will be the first one built in years in South America without fences to keep the fans back.
I’m a teacher so today’s lessons will be on the geography and culture of South Africa…
heh heh
To be fair, people were doing that on this blog since Justin Beiber was in diapers.
To be even more fair, I think he was in diapers about two years ago.
Ives, how come you didn’t include my Colombia vs. your Peru? Slipping man.
And their actual HD presentation, not just a faux HD logo in upper right hand corner.
Seriously? What is this, a Justin Beiber-blog…
why didn’t i take off work today? or work from home…
that’s pretty crazy
I thank the soccer gods for ESPN3!
Spain-Portugal should be fun
Sweet tapdancing Christ, that Argentina-Brazil game should be fun to watch.
