It may be coming together for Chivas USA .

After reportedly reaching an agreement to have Juan Carlos Osorio to lead the Rojiblancos, on Thursday, Chivas USA signed veteran defender Jimmy Conrad. As per league policy, terms of the agreement were not disclosed. Conrad's rights were selected by Chivas USA in the second round of the re-entry draft last week.

“It’s truly an honor to be part of the Chivas family. I’m excited to come to an organization with so much history behind the name,” said Conrad, in a team issued press release. “I look forward to making Chivas USA fans proud on and off the field. I look forward to helping turn things around.”

Conrad is a 12 year MLS veteran, who spent the last seven years with Kansas City. A Southern California native, Conrad is expected to bring balance to a defense for a team that finished in last place in the Western Conference in 2010.

Like what they are doing at Chivas USA? Believe that Conrad can be a good signing?

  1. Riiight, because signing a veteran defender who knows the league and is a known commodity, as well as signing a coach fresh off a championship season is a sure fire recipe for disaster…

  2. as a KC fan, I’m upset that he’s gone. He was always my fav player
[and I thought his column was funny]
I think it’s too bad he won’t get a chance to play in the new stadium as a Wizard/whatever the he** their new name is.

  3. It’s really coming together for Chivas USA? Really?

Yes. I’m sure it will come together for Chivas much like it did when JCO managed Chicago and NYRB.

What does it take to be labeled a bad coach?
