Blackpool 2, Manchester United 3: Match Highlights

  1. You are delirious!!! Some players make an impact dressed in green and Vela and dos Santos are two of those. Vela won the Gold Cup practically by himself. The presence he had on the field was immense. And Giovani had Messi sitting on the bench for a whole year not too long ago, he’s only 21!. They will be called and they will make an impact. By the way Vela will be going to a different club on Thursday either Bolton or Valencia, and there he will grow into the Fabregas of Mexico, mock my words. As for Ochoa, excellent keeper that has been dissapointed so many times he should probably seek therapy pronto…but still one of the best in Mexico. Oswaldo is No.1 right now!!!

  2. actually, ive got to disagree. he’s been far worse this season than the last couple of seasons. even in the blackpool match, he was having a pretty bad game until his assist. not nearly as convincing as before, but hopefully his form picks up now.

  3. What a fantastic game. Even as a United fn, as frustrated as I was getting, it was hard not to pull for Blookpool. What a story. Totally agree BP should have defended more and not left themselves so exposed in the back on counter attack.

  4. Chicharito is awesome, a world class striker. He will be a tough opponent in national team play, but then the next USMNT has to be a better team than in the past, and I think the US potential IS there 🙂

  5. I agree with Set. Mexico is very talented at the moment. They will be a challenge for the US. Hats of to Chicharito, and may Altidore start to have some of those moments!

  6. Nah dude guardado is too weak for México know he always hurt. Gio dosantos may not be called up by the coach neither barrera. Marquez is old been there since late 1990 something. We need new one like marco fabian, Elias hernandez. maybe gio still because he has speed. Vela not a chance in hell he doesnt play at all. Goal keeper talavera or jona orozco no more ochoa he sucks.

  7. They have Gio, Guardado, Barrera, and a few other guys that are pretty good. In the middle the best is probably Marco Fabian, which is the best player at Chivas and everybody thinks that he will be called in to the TRI for the game against Bosnia. So… no lack of talent, that’s for sure!!!

  8. Saw him play, he is the one that was considered the top Chivas prospect over Omar Salgado (which is a big reason Salgado left Chivas). Good prospect. It will be hard to match Hernandez’s talent.

  9. The only thing Mexico has is a midfield that will provide him service. Gio Dos Santos, Barrera, Guardado, and Marquez. Mexico’s problem is defending and goalkeeping.

  10. Looks like chivas wants to make another striker some what like chicharito. Erick torres 18 years old and scored first goal in the first team chivas. Oh man!! imagine that.

  12. Chicharito is going to be a handful at the Gold Cup. The guy has tons of pace, is very good at making the run to get himself into position to score, and is a Solskjaer-esque finisher. As a United supporter, I love it. As a US supporter, I’m very afraid.

  13. Fletcher has been totally awesome this season. VERY underrated. You don’t usually see him on the list of best midfielders in the EPL, but he should be.

  14. Chicharito making a huge impact for ManU in his first season. Bervatov finally showing why they spent so much on him. Rooney is overrated. ManU champs. Blackpool = lovely soccer (should have put 10 men defending when it was 2-0).

  15. The run by Hernandez on his goal was fantastic. Such a clutch finisher. As an United fan, I can promise you my gf, the cat and the dog all hated being around me untill the 72 minute. It was okay because she had the potty mouth during the Gunners game. (I watched my game first -watched the Arsenal game first last weekend -gotta keep it fair)
