The New England Revolution head west to the Home Depot Center to take on a Chivas USA side that is unbeaten in their last four matches (10:30 PST, MLS Direct Kick).

The Rojiblancos earned their first victory of the season last week on the road against the San Jose Earthquakes and will be looking to get their first home victory on Saturday night. The Revolution are also incredibly confident heading into the match having been victorious last week against Sporting KC.

Much of the focus tonight will be on newly acquired Revolution midfielder Benny Feilhaber, who nearly joined Chivas USA last week after a lengthy allocation process. Feilhaber, who was raised in Southern California admitted that he is intensely motivated to play against the team that passed him by.

SBI will be providing commentary on tonight's match so please feel free to follow along. As always, you are welcome to share your own thoughts and opinions in the comments section below.

Enjoy the action (Commentary is after the jump):

  1. 14K+ isn’t too bad, that’s better than other teams. Let’s keep in mind that they ARE the second team in the market. They’re not going anywhere (except into their own stadium,) nor do they need to. Same goes for the whole re-branding business (though I wouldn’t be against dropping the USA in favor of LA)

  2. Just watched the highlights. That 2nd Chivas goal from Mondaini was really nice. And Moreno almost had a sick little back-heel goal late. Incredible double-save from Shuttleworth on that particular Chivas attack.

Looked like a poor turnout at the HDC for a Saturday night game. Re-brand the team and move to San Diego (Chula Vista)
