No team from Wales has ever played in the English Premier League, but that will change now after Swansea clinched the final place in the EPL for the 2011/2012 season.

Scott Sinclair scored three goals as Swansea rode three early goals to post a 4-2 victory against Reading in the League Championship Playoff Final at Wembley Stadium on Monday.

Swansea jumped all over Reading in the first half, with Sinclair convering a penalty and a second finish in a three-goal barrage that seemed to put the match out of reach before halftime. Reading fought back bravely with a pair of second half goal, and nearly equalized only to see another shot hit off the post. Swansea held off the charge and sealed the victory when Sinclair converted another penalty kick.

What did you think of the match? Excited to see Swansea playing in the Premier League next season?

  1. Why the hate on Wolverhampton, one of the original 13 football clubs, still play in their original and ancient ground of Molineux, and who doesn’t like Mick?

And, they play some entertaining stuff, don’t get this t’all….

  2. Here’s to hoping Swansea and Norwich stay up. I’m definitely hoping at least Wolves and Wigan go down in their spot next year.
