The season is moving into its most grinding month, and there is some concern at Chivas USA that the Goats might be slipping due to a lack of concentration

The Rojiblancos have conceded the lead six times this season, and Saturday the club lost for the third match in a row. Since the month of April, the Rojiblancos have registered just two victories and now prepare for the month of July, which includes three home games starting with Saturday's date against the Chicago Fire. For head coach Robin Fraser, the recipe for success at Chivas is clear — more focus. 

"Without a doubt, this is a team that just needs to realize how important it is to concentrate for a full 90," Fraser said. "We've given up a lot of leads, and that's just not good enough, and we've given up too many goals and that's just not good enough."

COLORADO RAPIDS

The long injury battle for star striker Omar Cummings appears to finally be over.

The Jamaican striker, who has not earned a start in two months — since injuring his ankle — told MLSsoccer.com that he was ready for 90-minute duty with the defending MLS Cup champions as they look to rebound from a recent slide.

"Ready or not, I'm going to play," Cummings said on Thursday. "I'm hoping to go the full 90, at least get the start and go from there."

FC DALLAS

Ugo Ihemelu has been re-signed by FCD to a new five-year deal that will keep him at Pizza Hut Park until 2015. Ihemelu has shined partnered alongside George John, developing a partnership that has become one of the fiercest in the league and has helped FCD earn eight shutouts this season.

"It's nice to know to that the club believes in me and they want me to be around, so it's really an honor," Ihemelu told the club's website. "I grew up watching this team play, and now to be back here playing for the club, it's really awesome."

L.A. GALAXY

The LA Galaxy will rely on third goalkeeper Brian Perk on Monday against the red-hot Seattle Sounders. Perk will make his MLS debut after backup Josh Saunders was sent off against the San Jose Earthquakes on Saturday after first choice Donovan Ricketts suffered a broken wrist earlier in the match.

Honduran reports indicate that Honduran International Carlos Costly, who performed well for Los Catratchos during the Gold Cup, may be interested in joining Los Angeles. The forward helped lead Honduras to the semifinals of the tournament. 

PORTLAND TIMBERS

A recent poor run of form from the Timbers has caused head coach John Spencer to consider making a few changes to his club. The Timbers were soundly beaten, 4-0, by FC Dallas last weekend, and the head coach admitted that no one is safe from lineup changes when the club takes the field against Sporting Kansas City on Saturday. 

"There's no guaranteed starters," Spencer told The Oregonian. "You've got to earn the right to play this weekend."

REAL SALT LAKE

Real Salt Lake full back Tony Beltran scored the first goal of his career in a victory over the Wilmington Hammerheads in U.S. Open Cup play to help push RSL into the tournament quarterfinals, where it will face FC Dallas on the road after losing a bid process. 

SAN JOSE EARTHQUAKES

The Earthquakes struggled to score against the Galaxy last Saturday, even failing to beat Galaxy forward-turned-goalkeeper Mike Magee. To cure those woes, the team will welcome back Chris Wondolowski this weekend from U.S. national team duty. Wondolowski struggled during the tournament and failed to score when given opportunities to play, but the Earthquakes are hoping that the club's leading scorer finds his form by returning to MLS. 

SEATTLE SOUNDERS

Argentine midfielder Mauro Rosales has been a revelation so far this season for the surging Sounders. Rosales has scored a goal while tallying four assists including a helper in last weekend's victory over the New England Revolution. Rosales admits that his time with the Sounders has been wonderful so far. 

"I think my decision to come to Seattle was the best one I had," he said in an interview immediately following the match on the club's television broadcast. "It is very important to me to have this feeling."

VANCOUVER WHITECAPS

The Whitecaps dropped their first match ever on the MLS level to Canadian rival Toronto FC on Wednesday but admitted that the real prize will be given out at the weekend when they take on TFC at BMO Field for the possession of the Nutrilite Canadian Championship.

The title comes with a place in the CONCACAF Champions League and the prestige of being the top team in Canada. After his team's defeat to TFC on Wednesday, head coach Tommy Soehn was blunt about what match carried the most importance. 

"You're always looking to play for cups," Soehn told MLSsoccer.com. "It's an important game and it's a trophy involved. The league game is important, but we want to set ourselves up for success in the Nutrilite."
