Hall stands tall as Dynamo tie Rapids

The Colorado Rapids returned home to Dick's Sporting Goods Park badly needing a victory after suffering a pair of blowout defeats, but the home team's hopes for three points were thwarted by Houston goalkeeper Tally Hall.

The Dynamo netminder made six saves, including several highlight-reel caliber stops, to help Houston salvage a 0-0 tie on Sunday night.

The Rapids, playing without suspended striker Conor Casey, created chances, particularly late, but never could beat Hall, and were forced to settle for home draw, which drops Colorado to 0-2-5 in its past seven home matches. The Dynamo fell to 0-3-5 on the road this season.

The match signaled Brian Mullan's return to action after serving his ten-match suspension for the foul that broke Steve Zakuani's leg.

What did you think of the match? Starting to wonder if the Rapids can turn things around? Impressed with Hall's performance?

  1. Agreed Moor should have seen red for that tackle. Crapids are a thug team with a thug coach.

Dynamo backup keeper is better than anything NYRB have. Deric for Lindpere?

  2. Drew moore should have been cautioned or sent off for his tackle on Cruz.

Do you mean the one that went out for a throw in. Enough with the Rapids are thugs.

  4. Hall was big. Can’t believe my red bulls are stuck with the 2 stooges they have, seems like every team has a better keeper.

I watched most of this game and it was quite ugly…not very free flowing, lost of kick and run. Geoff Cameron was the best player on the field.

Drew moore should have been cautioned or sent off for his tackle on Cruz.

Amarikwa might be the most annoying person in the league (right after Lenhart of course)
