Finding minutes on a team as stacked as FC Dallas can't be easy for a rookie, so when Bobby Warshaw gets a chance to step on the field for the reigning Western Conference champions, he has to take full advantage.
Warshaw did just that on Saturday, coming off the bench to score a dramatic stoppage-time game-winning goal to help FC Dallas complete an inspired comeback in a 3-2 victory against Sporting Kansas City. Warshaw's powerful header off a Brek Shea cross sealed the three points and helped Warshaw earn SBI MLS Rookie of the Week honors this week.
Warshaw was the easy choice in a week that wasn't exactly all that memorable for rookies. Chicago fullback Jalil Anibaba continued to strengthen his case for Rookie Of the Year consideration with another solid outing in the Fire's 2-0 win against Colorado, but other than that the contributions by MLS rookies last week were negligible.
What did you think of Warshaw's clutch game winner? What rookies impressed you in MLS this past weekend?

Bob Bradley, CAP WARSHAW NOW.
😉
lol I saw the first 2 seconds of this and realized what just happened…
+1
He trims… it was a unibrow.
Bobby Warshaw is deserving of the award, he is a quality actor. I loved his “dream scene” from Mulholland Drive:

Warshaw played poorly????
Eyebrows.
how stupid. the guy played 15 minutes or so and your assessing his performance as poorly at best?
That was a nice finish and better cross by Shea!
What a scary picture…
Oh and a couple of Toronto guys, too.
It is a tough week for rookies when a defender that played poorly at best gets the nod for scoring a stoppage time winner.
Anyway, I think Warshaw, Anibaba and Sapong were the only rookies to get minutes this week.
