Pavel Pardo didn't take long to make an impact with the Chicago Fire.

A little over a week after signing with the Fire, Pardo started, went the distance and scored the equalizer in a 1-1 draw with the Philadelphia Union on Wednesday night.

Veljko Paunovic gave Philadelphia the lead in the first half, but Chicago responded after halftime when Pardo took advantage of a fortunate bounce to rifle home a low shot for his first career MLS goal.

The result gave Chicago its league-leading 13th draw while the Union remain in second place in the Eastern Conference.

What did you think of the Fire's match against Philadelphia? Impressed by Pardo scoring in his debut?

  1. So, where are all of you whining about Pardo being unfit and unable to play? This looks like it will turn out to be a nice acquisition for the Fire. Now if we just had a forward who could finish. Oduro gets plenty of chances, but either misses or hits them right into the keeper.
