After watching their counterparts get group play underway on Tuesday, the remaining half of the teams in the UEFA Champions League field take to the pitch on Wednesday to start their quest to reach the knockout stage.

Both Manchester United and Manchester City are in action, with City making its debut on this stage against high-octane Napoli. A Jose Mourinho-less Real Madrid is set to entertain as well, as Cristiano Ronaldo & Co. meet Dinamo Zagreb in Croatia.

2010 finalists Inter Milan and Bayern Munich also get their campaigns to return to the final underway, with Inter facing Turkish entrant Trabzonspor and Bayern Munich squaring off against Giueseppe Rossi's Villarreal in one of the more intriguing matchups of the day.

If you will be watching any of Wednesday's UEFA Champions League games, please feel free to share any thoughts, opinions and some play-by-play in the comments section below. Enjoy the action (TV schedule is after the jump):

  1. Regarding bias english commentators – I remember a match last year (I believe it was Barca vs someone – it wasn’t the final against ManU) where Barca was ahead and the commentator started talking about how “we” need to get the ball from “them”. The first few times he tried to correct himself and after saying “we… I mean (teamX)”, but after a few times he didn’t bother doing that anymore.

  2. No, I am on an international feed. Full disclosure, I am a Benfica fan, but i will say they were diving a fair bit the first 15-20 minutes, and did not deserve many calls they contested. These Commentators have said such things as Aimar should “definitely” have been sent already.

  3. If you’re watching the fsc feed, don’t agree about bias. They’ve been getting on the ref about the missed call from both sides, have praised Benfica for how they’ve been playing, and said (rightly) that Man United’s equalizer came against the run of play.
