The Major League Soccer playoffs will be in full swing today, taking center stage on a busy day in the soccer world.

The headlining match of the day takes place at Red Bull Arena, where the New York Red Bulls take on the Los Angeles Galaxy in the most star-studded playoff match in MLS history. The Galaxy are the favorites, having won the Supporters Shield as the best regular season team in MLS, but the Red Bulls are on a roll and looked poised for the upset.

The Philadelphia Union will make their playoff debut as well, hosting the Houston Dynamo at PPL Park in their Eastern Conference semifinal, while the Colorado Rapids look to take a step closer to an MLS Cup repeat by taking on Sporting Kansas City.

In Europe, you can kick the day off by watching Michael Bradley and Chievo taking on Siena, while Tottenham and Queens Park Rangers face off in their own London Derby.

  1. You’re chiming in without checking the facts? MB started vs. Napoli.

you got ripped a new one, didn’t you, Biff.

    You’ve lost all credibility.

  2. I love MLS playoffs for the sole purpose that the games get really intense. For this reason I for one would be really upset if MLS would ever get rid of them. I understand why people like to declare the regular season winner the champ, but I prefer the United States’ obsession with playoffs with their sports because intensity and emotions run high on a consistent basis.

  3. Enormously disappointing. Exciting game,….but what is up with Rafa Marquez and Hans Backe. Obviously, Marquez is laughing all the way to the bank but what is up with Baxke’s reluctance to use subs and what is the deal with Agudelo?

Do any of the journalist ask any post-match questions?
