Hall on the move again, shipped to Toronto FC from FC Dallas for draft pick

Jeremy Hall is acquiring quite the jersey collection in a short amount of time.

The one-time U.S. youth product and Generation adidas signing is on the move again after being traded from FC Dallas to Toronto FC on Tuesday in exchange for a second-round pick in the 2013 MLS SuperDraft.

Hall has been traded three times in a little more than a year, starting with a move from the New York Red Bulls to Portland last November. He lasted with the Timbers until August, when the club shipped him to FC Dallas in exchange for Eric Alexander.

Part of the problem for Hall is that despite being a midfielder by trade, he's often been deployed as a fullback. That trend figures to continue considering TFC coach Aron Winter's comments following the trade.

"Defense is one of the areas that we want to address this offseason and acquiring Jeremy is a positive step forward for our club," Winter said in a press release.

What do you think about the move? Hope to see Hall get a chance in the midfield with TFC?

  1. Sorry to say… As was inferred in the article… Jeremy is not a defender. Puyol is a defender. Jeremy is like demarcus beasley: fast, skilled, limited field vision, a feather.

  2. ech, dont think ecks will be playing in the middle, pretty sure another commanding CB will get picked up, Ecks has even said he hates playing CB

  3. I like this move. He has the offensive skill for Winter’s system. They need to move Eckersley to the middle, he is a terrific defender. They also need Adrian Cann back in the center.

  4. On one hand he probably would have been a good player if Osorio didn’t kill any development.

On the other, this is his fourth team.

  5. There is a reason he keeps getting traded …..He caused us the CCL game in Dallas vs Pumas, he was burned twice which lead to 2 goals from Pumas.
