The obvious draw this weekend for American soccer fans is Sunday's MLS conference final slate, with the winners of the Los Angeles-Salt Lake and Kansas City-Houston matches advancing to the 2011 MLS Cup final.
There are plenty of matches around the world that should capture your attention as well, though, beginning in Mexico, where a game remains in the Apertura regular season. DaMarcus Beasley and Puebla are among those in a muddled middle of the table fighting for a spot in the eight-team Liguilla. Puebla sits two points out of a playoff spot and needs a victory over Tigres UANL to entertain any thoughts of a league championship.
Other highlights of the weekend schedule include Tim Howard and Everton trying to put a halt to unbeaten Newcastle's blistering start in the Premier League, Clint Dempsey's Fulham clashing with Brad Friedel's Tottenham and Napoli meeting Juventus in a duel of Italian powers.
