When word broke about a United States-Mexico legends game last week, there remained some speculation about just which players from the storied rivalry would be participating for both sides.

The final rosters are out, and some of the more prolific heroes and villains from the last two decades of CONCACAF's ongoing feud will be on hand for the unique event.

The United States, which, will be coached by Curt Onalfo, will feature Ian Feuer, Cobi Jones, Paul Caligiuri, Thomas Dooley, Eric Wynalda, Roy Lassiter, Chris Klein, Cle Kooiman, Ted Eck, Clint Mathis, Alexi Lalas, Jovan Kirovski, John O'Brien and Brian McBride.

Mexico, meanwhile, will be coached by Carlos Reinoso and will trot out Jorge Campos, Claudio Suarez, Ramón Ramírez, Martin Zúñiga, Mariano Trujillo, Zague, German Villa, Alberto García Aspe, Ramon Morales, David Oteo, Luis Hernández, Joel Sánchez, Eduardo Missael Espinoza, Chima, Jesús Olalde, Jared Borgetti and Francisco Palencia.

The match is slated for Sunday night at 6 p.m. (PT) at the Home Depot Center.

  1. Looks like this is John O’Brien’s first steps back to full fitness.

Get a few matches under him, and he’ll be good to go for qualifying!

  2. Surely someone will get carted off in this one. Rivalries die HARD! And with a few bloodied noses and torn ACL’s

  3. I was hoping the O’Brien-SBI connection would get the first mention in the comments.

Ahh, yes… John O’Brien finally back in the Nats picture…

  4. No Reyna. Dammit. I was hopping for a Reyna – O’Brien pairing in the center of the park for old times sake. I look for Jones and McBride to continuing being the punching bag of Mexico. I bet they get hacked, slapped, stomped, spit on, and punched all game long. Of course, I bet Jones swings in a cross and McBride finishes with a thundering header.

  5. Oh man. Is this safe? I fear for McBride’s life. You know he is going to somehow come out of this game looking like Rocky.

No Kasey Keller? I am sure he is itching for an excuse to get back on the field already.

What has Roy Lassiter been doing?!
