Two teams dealing with the disappointment of having failed seasons in the Premiership will have the opportunity to salvage their underwhelming campaigns, as Chelsea and Liverpool battle for the FA Cup on Saturday.

The FA Cup final at Wembley Stadium (12pm, Fox Soccer Channel) will pit two sides looking to put their rabid fans at ease by winning some silverware after, by their standards, below-average seasons. Liverpool has missed out on next season's Champions League, and Chelsea is on the brink of missing out as well as they currently sit four points back with two games remaining.

The dismal campaigns by the two historic English clubs do not mean the match will be a bore. Rather, it should be an entertaining game with both teams looking to attack from the forefront. Liverpool wants to add to the Carling Cup trophy it collected earlier this year, while Chelsea will try and pick up some momentum before their Champions League final clash with Bayern Munich.

Adding to the intrigue of the game is that two of the more talented strikers in the world will take part. Chelsea's Didier Drogba has been on a tear in recent weeks, and should prove too be a handful for Martin Skrtel, Glen Johnson and the rest of Liverpool's defense.

Drogba's counterpart, Luis Suarez, has also been playing well as of late. The Uruguayan striker has scored seven goals in Liverpool's last nine games across all competitions, including a hat-trick in a win over Norwich City last weekend.

There plenty of other interesting storylines to follow as well, including Frank Lampard and Steven Gerrard's clash in the midfield, making this final match between the two underwhelming sides one worth watching.
