Chelsea’s USA tour adds stops in NYC, Miami as part of World Football Challenge

Chelsea's tour of the United States has added confirmed dates in New York and Miami to the stops in Seattle and Philadelphia.

Major League Soccer announced on Monday that Chelsea will play Paris St. Germain at Yankee Stadium on July 22nd and AC Milan at Sun Life Stadium in Miami on July 28th. Both matches are part of the World Football Challenge series taking place throughout the summer.

Chelsea is playing the Seattle Sounders at CenturyLink Field on July 18th before taking part in the MLS All-Star Game at PPL Park in the Philadelphia suburb of Chester on July 25th.

Chelsea won the FA Cup on Saturday and will be taking on Bayern Munich in the UEFA Champions League Final on May 19th in Munich.

  1. red bulls arent exactly filling it up either this year, despite what the claimed attendance numbers may suggest.

    In any event, I am sure they will get a decent crowd at the game because it will have 10X the marketing support of RBNY.

  2. Maybe NY can get more than 5,000 people to the game. The attendance was dismal for the NY vs LA game on Saturday. The stadium looked maybe 1/3 full.
