  1. All speculation gentelmen, what you don’t know is we have a strong bench and endurance isn’t a problem. Just keep doubting the first place team we like it but remember Goonies never die!

    Go Quakes!!!

  2. I think if you put together a team with 31 GF in 16 games they make their own luck.

Now, do I think Wondo + Lenhart = Cup gold? No, their roster screams won’t last in the playoffs.

  3. Obliteration sounds about right. I’m not saying the union will be able to do that every game, but 4-0 is pretty much an arse-whooping in the traditional sense.

  4. Um. Marco Pappa goal. You should see it. Weak foot too.

What’s with Pappa playing extra good since his game v. USA in wcq? I mean extra extra good.

  5. I was at the game. As a season ticket holder, I was pleased to see more finishes in the offense in one game than in the other games combined (missed one on biz in Japan). Great hustle by Gaddis, Jack Mack, and Hoppenot. Valdes dominated the back as well despite a height advantage for SKC – McMath ruled the area quite well – kudos to the young keeper for building confidence after a rocky start around him. Bunberry, Sapong, and Zusi were busy but out hustled by the Union. 3 offsides calls were way off against Philly as was a bad miss of playing advantage by the ref, Terry Vaughn. Despite the wrong side of calls, a good team beat a great team by playing very well, despite the fact that I have yet to see a “similar” or consistent line up in x games this season.

  6. ill be the first to admit it, the Quakes stole 3 points in Salt Lake tonite. 3 saves by players other than our GK, and Gordon scores AGAIN late on a play just like the winner he had vs LAG. Wondo scores tonites winner even later on a nice flick-on from Gordon. RSL’s finishing let them down, but I thought SJ held up in the oppressive heat better than they did.

  7. Philly obliterated SKC? And with less than 40% of the possession? Got to be the most shocking result of the week.

Good result for DC United. Don’t think the Supporters Shield is out of reach for Benny’s boys.
