Several high-profile tilts headline tonight's busy mid-week slate of Major League Soccer action, with Real Salt Lake playing host to the LA Galaxy in the night's marquee match-up.
The Galaxy are trying to climb into playoff contention, but must beat red-hot RSL at Rio Tinto to do it. That won't come easy against a Real Salt Lake attack that just trounced Chivas USA.
Seattle will look to snap a recent five-match winless funk in MLS play by beating a Sporting KC side that has started to recapture their strong early-season form.
Here is a rundown of tonight's MLS matches:
9pm- Real Salt Lake vs. Los Angeles Galaxy
9pm- Houston Dynamo vs. Toronto FC
9:30pm- Colorado Rapids vs. San Jose Earthquakes
10pm- Seattle Sounders vs. Sporting Kansas City
10:30pm- Chivas USA vs. Montreal Impact
11pm- Vancouver Whitecaps vs. New York Red Bulls

Well, they say you create your own luck and the Quakes were pouring forward in the 2nd half, so probably deserved. The rapids themselves admitted they couldn’t keep up, especially after the substitutions.

I know somebody says it every week about some match in the league, but what a disaster the officiating is in the MLS.
Jair Marrufo had so completely lost control of things by the end of the KC-Seattle match I was certain that someone was going to the hospital instead of the locker room.
Terrible! Quakes are freeking lucky
I don’t think SKC cares about the aesthetics, it’s strictly business and they’re headed to their point.
especially if they win.
Yallop makes 3 offensive substitutions in Colorado trailing 1-0. Quakes win 2-1!
Holgersson looks like an AYSO dad playing with his kids. He has no touch, and he’s gonna kill somebody out there.
Oof, poor Tony Beltran — been great so far this year, but he just had himself a Tim Ream moment. . . .
Man, Shep Messing is painful to listen to…
I never thought I’d see RSL choke that bad. Credit to LA for finishing, but embarrassing defensive effort from RSL, haven’t seen something like that since highschool
Woohoo, Lade in the lineup.
Slap in the face by SpoKS fielding a reserve team vs Seattle. Deserved? Probably.
Ashe is just horrible to watch.
