Revs rally for draw as TFC squanders another lead

Toronto FC is getting the hang of scoring goals and starting games strongly, but the whole keeping a lead thing is still a work in progress.

For the second straight match, TFC opened up a multiple-goal lead on an opponent, and for the second straight time they watched that lead disappear late. This time around it was New England pulling off the comeback, as goals from Blake Brettschneider and Chris Tierney erased a 2-0 deficit in the final 19 minutes and gave New England a 2-2 draw at BMO Field on Saturday.

Toronto's offense came out flying, with Danny Koevermans delivering a fourth-minute strike, and Ryan Johnson nailing a goal just before halftime, but the predictable collapse came in the second half as New England pressed and pressed and ultimately broke down Toronto's flawed defense.
