Lampard, Hazard headline Chelsea squad for USA tour, MLS All-Star Game

UEFA Champions League title holders Chelsea will be hitting the United States soon, and they'll be bringing their full-strength squad for American fans to see in person.

Chelsea announced the traveling roster for upcoming friendlies against the Seattle Sounders (July 18th in Seattle), Paris St. Germain (July 22nd in New York), AC Milan (July 28th in Miami)  and the MLS All-Star Team (July 25th at PPL Park in Chester, Pa.) and the stars who helped the Blues lift the Champions League trophy will be there.

Frank Lampard, Petr Cech, Ashley Cole and Fernando Torres headline a unit that will also include newly-signed star Eden Hazard. Here is the full roster:

Goalkeepers: Petr Cech, Henrique Hilario, Ross Turnbull, Jamal Blackman 

Defenders: Branislav Ivanovic, Ashley Cole, John Terry, David Luiz, Paulo Ferreira, Gary Cahill, Sam Hutchinson, Todd Kane, Nathaniel Chalobah

Midfielders: Michael Essien, Ramires, Flourent Malouda, Raul Meireles, Frank Lampard, John Mikel Obi, Eden Hazard, Marko Marin, Yossi Benayoun, Josh McEachran, George Saville

Forwards: Romelu Lukaku, Fernando Torres, Gael Kakuta, Kevin De Bruyne, Patrick Bamford, Lucas Piazon

  1. Since when is De Bruyne a forward? Nice try but wrong on that one.

    Also, where is Romeu? Olympics or is he being kept back so as not to get hurt before a transfer?

  2. How many in this squad will be shopped for loans (Lukaku, McEachran, etc.), and for Chelsea supporters out there, who will start in midfield this season?

    Curious how Hazard and Marin fit in…
