There's winning in style and then there is what the San Antonio Scorpions just did to the Carolina RailHawks.

The Scorpions recorded the biggest rout of the season on Saturday, humiliating the RailHawks, 8-0, at Heroes Stadium. San Antonio jumped out to a 2-0 lead in the first 15 minutes of the game, but it was the six-goal second half that really pleased the 7,186 fans in attendance.

Even with the lopsided victory that was fueled by Pablo Campos' four tallies, the first-place Scorpions have just a slight advantage over second-place Tampa Bay Rowdies. San Antonio currently has 35 points while the Rowdies have 33 after their latest win this past weekend.

Here is a look back at the rest of the Week 17 action in NASL:

STRIKERS DOWN SILVERBACKS IN EIGHT-GOAL THRILLER

The Ft. Lauderdale Strikers-Atlanta Silverbacks game was another fixture that saw eight goals scored, but this one was a close affair in which the Strikers claimed the spoils. Ft. Lauderdale grabbed a 5-3 win in front of a crowd of 3,160 at Lockhart Stadium on Friday, a result that raised them into fourth place in the league standings. The match was a roller coaster of emotions from both sides, but the Strikers eventually took the three points thanks to Aly Hassan's winner.

ROWDIES STAY ATOP TABLE WITH SLIM VICTORY OVER EDDIES

Daniel Antoniuk scored on the brink of halftime and that was the only goal the Tampa Bay Rowdies would need to see off FC Edmonton on Saturday. Antoniuk netted the winner in the 1-0 affair in the 44th minute, but Rowdies goalkeeper Jeff Attinella's eight-save performance was crucial in Tampa Bay winning their fifth straight home game. The loss in front of 3,149 spectators at Al Lang Stadium kept the Eddies in seventh place in the standings and still has the Rowdies within striking distance of league leaders, the San Antonio Scorpions.

DELGADO GOAL GIVES ISLANDERS THREE POINTS AGAINST STARS

Minnesota Stars FC's downward spiral in the league standings continued this past weekend, as they fell 1-0 to the Puerto Rico Islanders on Saturday. Noah Delgado scored for the Islanders four minutes after halftime and the Stars never found the equalizer, leaving the 1,357 fans at Bayamon Soccer Complex to head home content. Minnesota is now in fifth place in the league table on 26 points.
