Sanna Nyassi has proven himself to be capable of individual moments of brilliance in past seasons, and Wednesday night he did it again.
Nyassi got onto the end of a Justin Mapp cross and unleashed a ferocious first-time volley inside the near post to break a tie in the 67th minute and give the Montreal Impact a 2-1 win over the New England Revolution at Stade Saputo.
Patrice Bernier opened the scoring in the 28th minute, converting a penalty kick — after two initial conversions were waved off — after Nyassi was taken down in the box by Chris Tierney. The Revs tied it up just before halftime, with Lee Nguyen's blast from long range hitting off the crossbar and off the back of Impact goalkeeper Donovan Ricketts before crossing the goal line.
The Impact leapfrogged the Revs for sixth place in the Eastern Conference standings (although New England has three games in hand), while dealing them their second straight loss after a five-game unbeaten run.

Not having the stadium ready for the season opener was a mistake. The excitement that saw 60 000 visit the Big Owe cooled a little. Also, the fact that this is not strictly speaking a “new team” in the city, has meant that the novelty aspect that most new teams exploit has not been there for the Impact.
You have to give the ownership credit, for recognizing that the pricing structure is a little off, and also for having solicited the fan base opinion in making pricing changes. Also, the opening of the stadium happened to coincide with the idiotic student protests that have caused a large number of people to stay away from the city. Next season will likely see a completely revamped pricing structure as well as better beer options, and more family oriented specials.
I predict attendance will improve over the short term, as Nesta gets into the line-up next week, and as the team continues to improve. If you’ve watched this team regularly you know that late game defense is the only glaring deficiency. This is improving, even with Camara and Thomas starting.
As long as the team doesn’t schedule too many games in direct competition with the Alouettes, I think the situation can only improve.

Another non sell out, if they dont sell out when Nesta is in the lineup they never will. MLS wasnt banking on this to happen when they gave Montreal the expansion slot.
