Paris St. Germain have finalized the first half of their jaw-dropping double swoop of AC Milan stars on Saturday, completing the deal to land Brazilian centerback Thiago Silva.

PSG signed Silva to a five-year contract on Saturday after completing a 42 million-Euro transfer for him. Now the French club can turn its attention to completing a deal for Swedish striker Zlatan Ibrahimovic, who has become a more difficult transfer target for Paris St. Germain to land.

Silva is one of the top centerbacks in the world and joins a stable of PSG central defenders that includes fellow Brazilian Alex, Uruguayan Diego Lugano and French defender Mamadou Sakho. Now the Paris club will be looking to finalize a deal with Ibrahimovic in order to pair him with recently acquired Ezequiel Lavezzi ane Argentine playmaker Javier Pastore.

  1. Zlatan is without a doubt one of the best strikers over the past decade. Only guys I think that are above him would be Thierry Henry and David Villa

  2. This is how I know I play too much FIFA:

When Ibra/Silva along with Lavezzi this year(and Menez, Pastore & Motta the year previous) transferred to PSG, I was happy because this meant another club to play online.

Not much diversity, unfortunately when playing other people. All anyone ever uses is: Barca, Madrid, United, City & Bayern Munich.

…and there I am, playing with Ajax or Athletico Bilbao. =P
