  1. I hope they catch that on replay and give Lady Andrade a long-term suspension. That garbage has no place in the game.

  2. NBC has been awful already. THe worst Olympics coverage I can remember in my lifetime.

They missed the Phelps-Lochte final because they were showing some Dateline style interview about gymnastics.

  3. Tried to watch Brazil vs Egypt replay from NBC. Very S#*++Y quality. Just raw video, no announcer or mixer to cover up the VuVu’s, low-resolution AND still choppy as hell. NBC should just have their web-guys track down the people running ESPN’s servers and pay them handle their web streaming.

  4. The US women do not have the hottest of women on their team, I’ve seen other teams with way better looking women. Nevertheless, winning is most important.

  5. Was anyone else watching USWNT on nbcolympics.com? I kept on having issues with the player crapping out on me (I totally missed the 2 goals in the second half because it took me 10 minutes to get it back on). I say boo to thee NBC IT!!!!

  6. I agree. My only guess would be it has something to do with it being team GB? Part of an agreement or something? *shrugs*

  7. Wambach would not be denied… what a nice through ball with a powerfully skilled finish. LLoyd is quite the midfield general, like her style.

  8. Nominating Arlo White for witty Olympic commentary. “like a hot knife through butter.”

    …on Lloyd’s goal. 3-0 US

  9. I much prefer the new stripey kits with white shorts, by the way, as opposed to the blue ones. If the men start doing the same thing, as well, it may make the next couple years a lot easier on the eyes as a spectator.

  10. Right hook – the Colombian fullback blind sided her. Essentially cold cocked her from over her right shoulder as she was running up behind her.
Should have been a straight red card – no other interpretation possible.
    It was an assault.

  11. Small turnout at Hampden Park. I would have figured that rangers fans would be looking for some good football since their team will be playing 4th division this year.

  12. Anyone know what’s going on with Mix Diskerud these days?

His loan at Gent has expired, but he hasn’t played for Stabaek yet and he’s to good to waste the upcoming season playing a bunch of futile matches for a guaranteed cellar-dweller.

  13. My cable provider, Brighthouse (Florida), has a channel dedicated solely to the Olympic soccer broadcasts. Assuming others will too.
Just a quick fyi to anyone that doesn’t want to channel surf…

  14. Fulham’s fb page just listed lineup/subs for their preseason friendly. Deuce not taking part. I know there have been a couple others the last few weeks and I don’t think he was in those either?

Seems to me if there was anything to Fulham’s “he’s not for sale” and “hasn’t been any formal offers” statements he’d be training with the team, no?
