Toronto FC held Liverpool to a draw in their friendly on Saturday, and it was the Canadian club's newest player who helped make that result possible.

Hours after being officially acquired by Toronto FC, Quincy Amarikwa scored the opener in the second half of their 1-1 draw with Liverpool at Rogers Centre. Amarikwa connected on a rebound in the 58th minute following Liverpool goalkeeper Peter Gulacsi's save in a World Football Challenge game played in front of 33,087 fans.

Unfortunately for Toronto FC, poor defending 11 minutes later allowed for forward Adam Morgan to score from a yard out after Raheem Sterling dribbled by some defenders and hit the ball past Toronto goalkeeper Quillan Roberts.
