Martinez, who is currently with the Honduras team competing in the Olympics , was acquired after Real Salt Lake traded the No. 1 discovery priority on the the 23-year-old to Seattle in exchange for a conditional draft pick.

The left-footed Martinez has been with Real Espana since beginning his professional career in 2006. There, he has scored four times in 58 league appearances. Martinez has also spent time on loan with Norwegian club Valerenga and Belgian outfit RSC Anderlecht previously in his career.

Per club and league policy, terms of the deal were not disclosed.
