SBI MLS Player of the Week: Federico Higuain

The Columbus Crew put together another two-win week, and the driving force behind the team's recent surge continues to be Argentine playmaker Federico Higuain.

The newcomer continued to confound MLS defenses last week, recording multiple assists in a pair of comeback victories for the Crew. He helped set up the last-minute game-winniner against Philadelphia and served up the perfect cross for another late game-winner against the Montreal Impact. Higuain's heroics made him the pick as SBI MLS Player of the Week for a second straight week.

Higuain beat out a field of strong MLS performers for the honor. A field that included Ramiro Corrales, Juninho and Paulo Nagamura.

What did you think of Higuain's play last week? Which MLS player impressed you the post this past week?

  1. I am more impressed with Higuain everyday! The guys just plays with so much joy as well! It seems he gets along so well with his mates already! I have to say that as great as Henry has been, I am really sick of his obvious complaining gestures to his teammates every time he doesn’t get the ball in the exact spot he needs it. Higuain has been a breathe of fresh air in Columbus, and I just hope some of that enthusiasm with his teammates rubs off on Henry!
