  1. I don’t think you are an idiot, chris. I think you are absolutely correct that Lichaj should be on the current roster. And if your poetically worded statement about Chandler is alleging what I think it is alleging, i.e. that Lichaj is not getting called up because Klinsmann likes Chandler a lot and is still hoping to convince Chandler to finally give up on his dream of playing for the German national team and convince Timmy instead to lower his standards and commit to being cap-tied to the USMNT, well, then I think there might be a grain of truth to that. Because if Lichaj is brought in and performs well, then it would be very difficult for Klinsmann at a later date, if Timmy finally gives up on Germany, to remove Lichaj from the squad and replace him with Timmy.

Scenarios like that are one major reason that I believe very strongly that Klinsmann should shut the door Chandler for the WC 2014 cycle. For nearly a year Klinsmann thought Chandler, who several times promised us he had no desire to play for Germany, was 100% on board the USMNT. Klinsmann was preparing for WCQ expecting a team with Chandler–meaning he was not trying out other potential full backs. And with Timmy now refusing to accept Klinsmann’s invitations, he has put the team in a bad position and it can only get worse if Klinsmann insists on letting the Timmy Chandler soap opera drag on and on and on.

  2. Who honestly believes 3DM’s is a good idea? I’m done with Klinnsman. He’s all talk with little coaching experience. US Soccer went for the flashy name and are paying the price. The team looked unmotivated and lost. The lineup decisions are atrocious. Martin Vasquez and some austrian fellow? What kind of assistants are those? The team looks bad and I mean bad. Quit sucking Chandlers teats and call up lichaj. You know one of our best defenders in the gold cup. He’s had 2 years and all we have done is regress and are in jeopardy of even getting to the world cup.

  3. We seem to be making little real progress. Why is this? Are our players just not good enough? Did we punch above our weight for years and are now just coming back to earth? Does the scheme not suit our players?

This loss is lingering over me like a hangover would.

  4. Scotland Serbia is the marquee over denmark-czech rep? Two former European champions, both perennial challengers in euros and world cups get second billing to scotland??
