Notre Dame’s 3-1 humbling of Marquette on Wednesday helped force a four-way tie in the Big East Conference’s Blue Division, the strongest collection of teams in the nation. Marquette doesn’t have to wait long to exact some revenge.
The SBI No. 5 Golden Eagle will face the very same No. 7 Fighting Irish on Saturday in one of the weekend’s top match-ups. Marquette is a perfect 9-0 at home this season and will try to do a better job of dealing with Notre Dame’s midfield as well as leading scorer Ryan Finley.
The Atlantic 10 headlines tonight’s schedule, with all four ranked teams facing off in juicy matches. SBI No. 8 Xavier will put their unbeaten record on the line against No. 25 VCU, while No. 16 Charlotte travels to Illinois to take on No. 11 Saint Louis.

“while No. 16 Charlotte travels to Illinois to take on No. 11 Saint Louis.”
Seriously? I know it’s not a big city, but I sort of thought it was common knowledge that Saint Louis (and by extension, Saint Louis University) is in Missouri.
Are the SBI rankings being used here?
OK, never mind – just saw that. My bad. I should have known since Northwestern is ranked #15 here and 24th or so nationally.
