CONCACAF Hex Schedule to be set in November

Delegates from all six remaining national teams in CONCACAF World Cup Qualifying met on Friday to try and determine the final schedule for the Hexagonal round of qualifying. After reportedly being unable to reach a consensus on a schedule, he delegation ultimately agreed to have the schedule for the Hexagonal Round of qualifying determined by FIFA draw.

CONCACAF announced on Friday evening that the final schedule will be set by draw within the next 30 days, with reports in Mexico stating the draw will be determined on Nov. 7th.

The Hexagonal Round of World Cup qualifying will begin on Feb. 6th, 2013.

  1. Seemed silly to think they could have pulled that off.

    Had to figure that everybody wanted game #1 and #10 at home, none of the others wanted to play @USA in February, and everybody wanted Mexico in June when they might be distracted by the Confed Cup.

    • I am going to predict Mexico, USA, Honduras go in automatically then Jamaica plays New Zealand for the final spot. Costa Rica implodes and Panama loses most their games by slim margins.

  2. I kind of find it humorous that someone thought that all the remaining CONCACAF teams would actually agree on a schedule and not need some sort of mediation.
