The 2012 MLS playoffs schedule is set.

No, we don’t know all of the teams that will be playing in the conference semifinals but we do know what the schedule will be after MLS released an updated list of games. The list includes the times and dates for most of the matches in the postseason, so it might be a good idea to start marking your calendars.

It is all pretty straightforward, with the lone exception coming in the Western Conference semifinals series involving the San Jose Earthquakes. The times for both legs of that series is dependent upon who the Earthquakes face.

  1. All you picking the Sounders realize that Seattle has scored once in the last 6 games aginst SLC ? And that was when they were down 3-0 on aggregate.

    Go Sounders.

  2. Such a massive disparity in the levels of TV coverage. We’ve got LA-Van on NBC, which is rad, and then CHI/HOU-SKC on MLS Live. Surprised there’s not more even coverage.

    • As a Dynamo fan, I think you are criminally overlooking their poor performances against Chicago all year and criminally underestimating how they match up w/ SKC.

Chicago lucked out in the first of 3 against Houston this year when a rain delay ended the game a half hour early with Houston knocking on the door for the game winner. Over the rest of the season, both teams improved their rosters (with Chicago probably improving theirs more relative to the level at which they started). Houston then managed to play 2 pretty terrible games against Chicago during their next 2 meetings. I’m biased, but I think Houston should beat the Fire. My gut is telling me otherwise…

That said, the Dynamo are 1-0-2 against SKC this year, and while Sporting bossed the 3rd game of the series this year, Houston nearly stole the 3 pts. Two of those games were played at LSP.
