Thierry Henry turned in what might have been his best game of the year in leading the New York Red Bulls to a 4-1 rout of Toronto FC, a performance that made him an easy pick for SBI MLS Best XI.
Henry's three assists and game-capping goal completed a virtuoso effort for the French striker, one of a plethora of MLS forwards to enjoy outstanding weekends.
We only had room for three forwards on SBI MLS Best XI, but could have easy made an entire lineup of forwards based on the good games so many of them had. Steven Lenhart makes our team for coming off the bench and scoring two goals to help the Earthquakes salvage a draw against FC Dallas, while Alvaro Saborio earned a place courtesy of his hat-trick.
The forwards who didn't make the Best XI deserve mention this week, with players like Fabian Espindola and Alan Gordon being just as worth as the teammates who made it, while Jairo Arrieta and Blas Perez would have been locks most other weeks. Kenny Cooper and Bright Dike also turned in solid outings that fell short of our Best XI.
Here is the rest of the SBI MLS Best XI for Week 29:
