Barcelona and Real Madrid have already done battle this season in the late summer's Spanish Super Cup (won by Real Madrid), but their battle for the La Liga title begins at the Camp Nou on Sunday in the latest installment of 'El Clasico'.

It may just be October but the match is already a must-win for Real Madrid. The defending champions endured a slow start to the season that has them eight points back of Barcelona. A loss would extend that gap to 11, a deficit that could prove impossible to overcome against a Barcelona team that looks to be at the top of its game.

Barcelona-Real Madrid is one of several top rivalry matches around the world. AC Milan take on Inter Milan in one of Serie A's most storied rivalries, while Marseille face Paris St. Germain and FC Porto take on Sporting Lisbon in another classic rivalry.

The rivalry weeknd isn't confined to Europe. Club America and Chivas Guadalajara renew acquaintances in Mexico City, while the Seattle Sounders and Portland Timbers prepare to play in front of a crowd of more than 66,000 in Seattle.

Here is a rundown of This Weekend's Soccer on TV, as well as SBI's Top Ten Matches to Watch:

  1. +1

I can’t believe that this new channel is managing to actually be worse than GOL TV when it comes to scheduling matches. WTF?

  2. Marseille-PSG is always a fantastic game, well worth watching even if you don’t like either team.

Tough to be an NFL and soccer fan; thank you, DVR inventor, wherever you are.

  3. Thanks to ESPN3 I can watch Porto vs Sporting – give it a shot to those of you unfamiliar with portuguese league. (I don’t have beIN so, yes..I’m rationalizing. But, it should be great match)

  4. “Bald American goalkeepers” I though all American goalkeepers were bald!?!?

(SBI-Tony Meola was the last non bald goalkeeper who earned call-ups and kept his hair. Guys like Joe Cannon, Kevin Hartman and Dan Kennedy have kept their hair, but haven’t really been called in. will be interesting to see if this new generation of American keepers can keep their hair.)

  5. FU Beinsport. Can’t watch either El Clásico or Derby della Madonnina. At least before I could switch between Gol and FSC….

  6. Sucks that even if you have both BeIn channels, you still can’t watch the entire Milan derby live. They’re showing El Clasico on both and then switching for the remainder. No full replay until 9:30.

They need to sort out their provider issues and get their streaming options together, ASAP.

Chivas USA trying their luck in Liga MX? Can’t get much worse than how they’re doing in MLS, right?
