The last remaining unbeaten college team in the nation finally fell.
SBI No. 23 Wake Forest dropped No. 1 Maryland from the ranks of the unbeaten on Thursday night, posting a 4-2 victory over the Terrapins in Winston-Salem, North Carolina.
The Demon Deacons rode a three-goal second-half rally to overwhelm Maryland, as Ross Tommaselli, Luca Gimenez and Danny Wenzel rattled off three unanswered goals to erase a 2-1 deficit.
The victory helped Wake Forest secure the No. 3 seed in the ACC Tournament. Maryland had already secured the No. 1 seed heading into Thursday’s regular season finale.
Out West, senior Fernando Monge delivered a game-winning goal in overtime to lift UCLA to a 2-1 victory over Stanford. The win pushed the Bruins to within three points of securing the Pac-12 title with two matches remaining.

What changed the game for Maryland was a red card to London I think it was, who decided it would be a good idea to ball up his little fist and punch a player off the ball. The most amazing part of this whole game was the coach complaining that the referee would dare red card one of his players. NCAA is pathetic, even some of the most delusional coaches in the top leagues would accept this call with grace, sadly in the NCAA everyone acts like a pathetic baby.
