The Houston Dynamo hold a two-goal lead heading into today’s Eastern Conference finals second leg-, but D.C. United will have considerable home-field support in a sold-out RFK Stadium today (4pm, NBC Sports).
D.C. United face a stiff challenge, as they try to complete the comeback without team scoring leader Chris Pontius, who is out injured. Some good news for D.C. has reigning MLS MVP returning from injury to make the D.C. bench.
The Dynamo will be looking to make their second straight MLS Cup Final, and will look to hold a lead for the second-straight playoff series. They almost paid the price for being overly defensive in the second leg against Sporting Kansas City, so we could see Houston attack much more today than they did against Sporting KC.
SBI will be providing live commentary on today’s match, so please feel free to follow along with the action here. As always, you are welcome to share your thoughts, opinions and some play-by-play in the comments section below.
Enjoy the action (Live Commentary is after the jump):
When will this club get a real stadium?
Pretty clear at this point that DC United did not belong here.
“did not belong here”?
That’s lame. They earned their way there, pal.
The only thing that is clear is that you don’t know what you’re talking about.
Houston is the better team. Goodnight DC.
De Ro on the bench and they bring in Lewis Neal???
and that may be all she wrote on this one….
Hamid even got a hand to it, just not enough.
…being televised on their channel….
With all they learned from the olympics, NBC should be streaming this.
Granted, I just went to the NBC Sports site, and there isn’t a single mention of this game….
it’s an ugly feed though…
Chris Korb impresses me again and again. All season long. Is he not speedy enough to be a fringe national team guy? The skills seem to be pretty strong.
that’s dots tv and eu
links????
Castalba or firstrow
Anyone have a live stream?
No Pontius, De Ro, or McDonald in the starting 11. Houston moves on to the final.
lol. that’s harsh.
No it’s not.
Vamos Naranja.
